Aluminium and Pressed Steel Drain Plugs and Multilock Stoppers
A durable aluminium testing plug with a single rubber seal, suitable for carrying out water and air tests in all types of pipes. Also available in pressed steel.
Expanding drain plugs are available for testing and blanking off pipes ranging from 40mm-1200mm. Available with double or triple rubber seals.
- A chemical resistant rubber seal can be supplied on request along with, stainless steel or brass waterways.
- 4" 'U' gauge, 3/8" rubber hose and whole testing kit complete with handbellows and test nipples available on request.
- We are always pleased to quote for special purpose adaptations to standard stoppers.
N.B. Appropriate bracing or support will substantially increase the ability of the plug to hold back higher pressures.
Sizes are quoted in Normal Pipe Internal Diameter (mm x BSP outlet).

Multilock Stoppers
- Size range: 430mm - 2000mm
- Multiple compression points around perimeter of plug enables seal expansion in localised areas.
- Strength where it matters - at the compression points.
- Steel components are aluminium coated against corrosion.
- Plug sizes over 600mm diameter fitted with handling bars, for ease of location in pipe.
- "Double seal" plugs supplied to order.
- All stoppers should be adequately supported to stop rotation.
- When adequately supported stoppers will withstand the following head of water:
sizes up to and including 600mm - 3 metres head
Sizes over 600mm - 1 metre head
