High Pressure Plugs
These one-sized plugs are available for internal pipe diameters of 50mm to 315mm, with each plug covering a range of 20mm.
To achieve a seal, the plug is inserted into the pipe and the sealing nut is tightened. This compresses the rubber sealing rings against the inside of the pipe wall, to achieve a tight seal.
- Suitable for pressures up to 10 Bar if suitably strutted or braced.
- Pressure plates made from aluminium.
- Chemical resistant rubber seals can be supplied.
NB. The plug has a strutting or brace foot, which must be used at all times. Once they are strutted or braced, the applied load will forced the plates together, increasingly the sealing capabilities. These plugs are NOT suitable for testing with compressed air or gas.
