Trelleborg Megaplug
The Trelleborg Megaplug is a special inflatable plug for pipe diameters larger that 1000mm. Thanks to its unique construction, a large range of pipe diameters can be closed off with a Megaplug, yet it can still be handled and brought into the pipeline through the manhole
The plug consists of a high quality aramid/kevlar cord reinforced rubber sleeve around a heavy-duty steel core, with robust steel end caps and fittings. The Test and Bypass versions are suitable for air and water tests in drains and sewers.
- The standard Megaplug is equipped with a flexible bypass, 4" diameter which can be capped off if not required.
- The Megaplug is capable of holding back relatively high back pressures beacuse of the large contact surface area with the pipe wall and the high operating pressure in the stopper.
