Equipment rental specialist Groundforce has strengthened their commitment to the North West with the opening of a new Lancashire depot. The site will house the four key Groundforce divisions: shoring specialists Groundforce Shorco, formwork providers Easiform, piling equipment supplier Piletec Dudley Vale and pipe testing experts Stoppers Specialists.
The new Wigan based depot is strategically located on a 3 acre site next to the M6 motorway, almost doubling the size of the company’s previous site in the area. Additional capabilities include an expanded loading area, four gantry cranes and improved health and safety facilities.
As part of the development, significant investment has been made via the establishment of the new Easiform formwork business on the site. As well as extensive storage capacity for the Frami range of panels, the site will also act as a base for a new dedicated formwork hire desk operation.

The move is part of a continual investment in new facilities by the group and will create new future employment within the region.
