Easiform go round the houses in Wales

Gelli Wales

Groundforce Easiform have recently supplied their Frami Formwork system on an exclusive £6m Welsh housing development. Bretta James Developments are initially constructing 15 homes on a steep Welsh hillside overlooking the picturesque town of Dolgellau. The residents will have stunning views of the town with Cader Idris mountain as a dramatic backdrop.

The location of the site presented Main Contractor Gelli Civil Engineering with an interesting challenge, as they had to remove large quantities of rock from the hillside, to form the terraces on which the houses are located. The split level dwellings then required the construction of a series of retaining walls of varying shapes and sizes. Gelli turned to specialist supplier Groundforce Easiform to design the Formwork system to construct these walls.

Due to market demand Groundforce have recently added Formwork to their product portfolio and are supplying their customers with the internationally respected Frami system. It is a modern panel system, which is simple to use, easy to handle and is extremely versatile. Gelli Site Agent Iolo Williams says “The beauty of this formwork system is it's simplicity. Props and walkways are all built in and quick to place. The formwork was erected by labourers and as such reduced the resource cost on the job. I'll definitely be using the Easiform Frami system on my next scheme”

When completed the development will provide 45 quality homes of varying designs, which are much needed in the local area.
