Known as the ‘V’ Series these new Chute Roller trailers are specifically designed to meet the latest requirements of the GIS (Gas Industry Standards) and are suitable for use in both the gas and water sectors. The trailers offer a high quality manufacture featuring the heaviest build quality available on the market today.
The unique design eliminates the need for central drum mechanisms and all of the associated slide-in bars/spring bolts etc normally associated with pipe coil trailers. As such, this makes the units simple and safer for the loading and dispensing of coiled pipe in the field.
Available in three models of 90 mm, 125 mm and 180 mm, the V’ Series trailers all meet the requirements of the water and gas industries, especially with regard to GIS requirements for pipe end restraints, nose weight, centre of gravity and the ability to load and dispense the trailer from ground level with no requirement to climb onto the superstructure.
Other latest developments within the range include a sectional design, enabling flat packing for export, the option of a galvanised finish for greatly extended plant life, and the introduction of LED lights for dual 12/24 voltage.
With the three models available, each Pipe to Site ‘V’ Series coil trailer is suitable for use with a wide range of coil sizes and manufacture including the new sizes currently being introduced to the market.
Commenting on the new ‘V’ Series range Frank Gowdy, Sales Director for Mole said: “Across utility industries here is an increasing awareness with egard to coiled pipe trailers, especially n respect of the safety requirements nd the ergonomics of their operation.
The new ‘V’ Series coil trailer range is specially designed to meet the most stringent of current regulations and requirements. In particular, the new trailers meet or exceed the new UK Gas Industry Standard (GIS) which is now applicable to all UK gas companies. These requirements are currently some of the most demanding in the world. As standards improve and change it is U Mole’s aim to keep up with these improvements, if not to be ahead of them, across our complete equipment range.”
