Groundforce Strengthens its Irish Presence with New Acquisitions

Excavation support specialists Groundforce, part of Harrogate based Vp plc, continue to build on their operations in the Republic of Ireland with the announcement that they have acquired the business and assets of two businesses, for a consideration of €0.8m of which €120k is deferred.

Shoring equipment provider, Underground Safety Services Ltd and pipe testing specialist, Pipe Testing Accessories Ltd, who are based in Tullamore, County Offaly and have strong customer bases across the country, will now be combined to operate from a single location. They have a joint revenue of €0.6m.

Over the last two years, Groundforce have been increasing support to a range of customers in Ireland working on a number of high profile projects. They are confident that these new acquisitions will further strengthen the company’s footprint in the country, and firmly establish them as a premium provider to the construction and civils industry across the whole of Ireland.
